President congratulates winners of council and WDC elections

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended congratulations to all candidates who secured seats in the 2026 Local Council and Women’s Development Committee Elections held across the Maldives today.
Reflecting on the preliminary results of the elections, the President shared a message on social media stating that he respectfully accepts the outcome of the 2026 Local Council and Women’s Development Committee Elections and Public Referendum held nationwide.
The President reassured that the Government will continue all necessary efforts to address areas requiring improvement, in line with the will and aspirations of the people. He reaffirmed this commitment to all the beloved people of the Maldives.
