Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
This policy explains how Maldives Today Press (“we”) handles information about visitors to maldivestoday.com and readers of our newsletters and apps. It applies to all services published under the Maldives Today masthead.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — for example, your email address when you subscribe to a newsletter, or the contents of a letter to the editor.
- Technical information — including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring sites. We use this to operate the site and understand how it is used.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small pieces of data stored in your browser to remember preferences and measure traffic. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
How we use it
We use information about readers to publish and deliver the paper, to send the newsletters you have asked for, to verify letters and other submissions, to detect abuse, and to comply with the law. We do not sell reader data.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who operate parts of our infrastructure (for example, our newsletter delivery and analytics providers), and only to the extent they need it to do that work. Where the law requires, we share information with regulators, courts or law enforcement.
Your rights
You may unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time using the link at the foot of the email. To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, write to privacy@maldivestoday.com.
