MasterChef Sri Lanka’s Maldives Episode Airs Tonight
The destination episode screens on TVM at 10pm on 5 October, following an island production coordinated by MHC Group and Visit Maldives.

A special Maldives episode of MasterChef Sri Lanka is scheduled to air on TVM at 10pm tonight, 5 October, featuring a culinary challenge filmed in the country with Maldivian ingredients and hospitality.
The production brought the programme’s judges, host, contestants and technical teams to the Maldives. Visit Maldives Corporation served as the official destination partner, working with Maldives Holiday Collections, part of MHC Group.
Visit Maldives confirmed the broadcast date and time on 2 October. Public Service Media is the production’s official broadcast partner.
Reality TV Sri Lanka, which holds the MasterChef franchise in Sri Lanka, produced the episode. Its production and culinary teams led the creative work.
An Island Setting Built for the Competition
MHC’s account of the production describes the construction of individual cooking stations and kitchen decks in an outdoor island setting.
The company coordinated international travel, accommodation and local transport, as well as the importation and movement of cameras, technical equipment and production materials. Its team also worked with the crew on ingredients and the facilities needed for filming.
MHC managing director Ahmed Shaushaan Shafeeq said preparations involved months of coordination, including customs clearance, equipment movements and construction. The company said staff from operations, transport, hospitality, finance and procurement worked on the project.
Visit Maldives coordinated with government institutions on filming approvals, visas and administrative clearances. The corporation said its participation formed part of efforts to feature Maldivian food and culture in destination promotion.
Hospitality and Food Partners
CROSSROADS Maldives, The Marina, SAii Lagoon Maldives, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SO/ Maldives were named as official hospitality partners.
The food and beverage partners included Nestlé Professional, Maggi Professional, Nescafé, Milo and Lily International. United Food Suppliers supported the production as its frozen-food partner, while Flora was named as the hygiene products partner.
Other participating businesses included local logistics, transport and restaurant operators. The production’s partner list includes Swift Logistics, Redstar, Nautigo, Nihon Bashi and Ministry of Crab.
MHC operates in destination management, marine tourism, logistics, hospitality and travel experiences. Its tourism portfolio includes Maldives Legend, according to the company’s production announcement.
