Seawall at GDh. Thinadhoo clears environmental review after redesign
The ministry signs off on a modified alignment that keeps the southern reef flat untouched.
The Ministry of Environment has approved the environmental assessment for a new seawall protecting the southern edge of GDh. Thinadhoo, after a redesigned alignment was submitted to preserve the reef flat that campaigners had said was being quietly sacrificed to the first plan.
Construction will begin in the second quarter.
