A Malé boduberu night draws a record crowd to the National Stadium
Three thousand in the stadium, a further three thousand on the road outside — and the drums go on to past midnight.
A boduberu night at the National Stadium on Saturday evening drew a crowd of three thousand inside the stadium and a similar number on Medhuziyaaraiy Magu outside, as twelve troupes from across the country took turns at the drum.
The event, organised by the National Centre for the Arts, was the first time since 2019 that the stadium has been turned over to the drum.
