Visit Maldives claims 160 million impressions from a month-long push
The corporation's global digital campaign logged 22 million video views — and a 54 per cent lift in website sessions from targeted markets.

Visit Maldives Corporation reported the results of a month-long global digital campaign on Thursday: more than 160 million impressions across YouTube, Instagram, Google and Yandex, with over 22 million video views and 10 million people reached.
"Achieving more than 160 million impressions and 22 million video views within a single month is an outstanding result," said Ibrahim Shiuree, the corporation's chief executive and managing director.
The corporation counted more than 600,000 sessions on visitmaldives.com over the period, with sessions from targeted markets up by as much as 54 per cent. "The growth in website sessions demonstrates genuine travel interest," Shiuree said — the campaign was built to run from awareness advertising through search and remarketing to the point of active holiday planning.
The push comes in a year when arrivals are running 5.7 per cent behind 2025 and the government's 2.5 million target looks increasingly demanding. The national marketing body has been experimenting well beyond the brochure — including, this week, a partnership to put the destination inside a video game.
