LUX* South Ari Atoll lands in three categories at the T+L Asia Pacific awards
Families, pools and house reefs — reader votes place the 192-villa resort in the top ten of all three.
LUX* South Ari Atoll placed in the top ten of three reader-voted categories at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026 — best resorts for families, best resort pools and best house reefs — according to an announcement carried by Visit Maldives.
"We are truly honoured to be voted once again by the readers of Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia," said general manager John Rogers.
The resort runs 192 beach and overwater villas along a two-kilometre island inside the South Ari Atoll Marine Protected Area, whose waters hold the world's only year-round whale shark aggregation — guided swims with the animals sit on an activity list of forty, alongside eight restaurants and five bars.
The same reader vote recognised other Maldivian properties across its seven categories, among them Grand Park Kodhipparu and five Marriott Bonvoy resorts — a reminder that in this market, the awards page is a national scoreboard.
