Maldives Hajj Corporation will fly Umrah pilgrims directly between Gan in Addu City and Jeddah for the last 15 days of Ramadan, it announced on 10 October.

The corporation’s announcement lists the package at MVR48,965, with the route shown as Gan to Jeddah and back. Payment is due by 13:00 on 19 December 2026.

Pilgrims can book through the corporation’s Faheli portal or its website. The announcement did not give flight dates or times.

Southern Departure

The custom Umrah package on the corporation’s website lists departures from Malé. The Ramadan flights announced on 10 October will instead depart from the south of the country.

Gan International Airport is in Addu City, the Maldives’ southernmost atoll.

On 22 July 2025, the national airline Maldivian marked the launch of its first direct Umrah flights to Jeddah, in partnership with Hajj Corporation and The Traveller. The airline said more than 750 pilgrims would travel that July.

Booking Terms

The corporation opened bookings for Umrah during Ramadan 1448 in August. It said then that a place is secured by paying 50% of the package price.

It also said Ramadan Umrah bookings could be made and paid for through its website for the first time. Previously, registration was available only through the Faheli portal. Bookings for Ramadan remain open until 19 December, according to that announcement.

Free Vaccinations in the Atolls

On 7 October, the corporation said that pilgrims travelling with it can receive the required vaccines free of charge at their nearest health centre, starting with its November Umrah trip.

Free vaccination was previously available only in Malé, where it is provided at the Maafannu Urban Primary Health Centre. The required vaccines are for influenza, meningitis and polio.

The corporation said it was working with relevant government offices and State Pharma to provide the service.

In June, the corporation said it would run Umrah trips in September, November and December this year, timed to coincide with school holidays.

The corporation’s hotline is 1435.
