Muizzu pledges an AI regulation bill in the next Majlis session

In his first press conference after the referendum defeat and cabinet reshuffle, President Muizzu named the drafting of a new law to regulate artificial intelligence as a priority for the second half of the year, alongside reforms to public-sector recruitment, judicial administration, and data protection.
Few details accompanied the announcement; officials said the ministry of homeland security and technology, not yet renamed under the new cabinet map, would pilot the consultation.
