Constitutional amendment on simultaneous elections passes Parliament

The People's Majlis passed the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution on Tuesday with the supermajority required to proceed. The amendment, which would synchronise presidential and parliamentary elections from 2029, now goes to a national referendum scheduled for 4 April.
